[osr Challenge] The Goat and the Unicorn

The Goat and the Unicorn: A Get Ready, Get Set, Go! Labyrinth Lord adventure set in the Ashford Valley.

Get Ready:
A unicorn wants his pet goat back!

Get Set:
While traveling along the Deep Forest Road, the PCs encounter a unicorn named Clarence who is looking for his pet goat Phillip. The unicorn won't reveal itself to the PCs straight away, but will instead follow them and communicate from hiding.

The goat was taken by an Ogre named Fafsolt and is currently awaiting dinner (he's the "guest of honor").

Go!:
The PCs should have no difficulty finding the ogre as he is well-known in the area. They arrive at Fafsolt's lair as night is falling.

Fafsolt lives in an ancient and ruined watchtower. The first floor (and above) are reduced to rubble, but the basement (including a stout door entrance) is a snug nest. In a closet is Phillip the Goat, steaming mad and waiting to attack the first thing that opens the door!

In the middle of the rescue, Fafsolt's dinner guests show up (he was throwing a birthday party for "Morley")!

  1. This is a fun Short Adventure. And it has a goat, which is extra cool.
